Diabetes is a common condition, especially in those aged over 50 years.
It is known as the “silent assassin” – diagnosis is sometimes late as symptoms may be few. Most doctors at Ballymodan Family Practice at have postgraduate qualifications in diabetes.
We have a Diabetic Nurse Specialist who visits the practice on a monthly basis. This is a free
service provided by the HSE.
